Hello friends, myself Dr aftab , physician and clinicians from almost 15 years.
In these time i feel, that pt have many questions about their disease so i decide to make a platform to give answer those questions. So feel free to ask me.
Today i start my this blog with acne and question related to acne, these questions are frequently ask to me in my clinic by patients .
1. What is acne?
Acne is a disorder of pilosebaceous complex which predominantly affects the peripubertal population due to hormonal influences and its come out as a papule pustule nodule etc.Basically the opening of pilosebaceous complex is blocked due to over secretion of gland, chemical, and many other cause. So this complex is filled with their own secretions, and this is best food for bacterial growths . Propionibacterium spp. especially P. acnes.is the main bacteria, which grows in complex and infect it, some times it gets very worse.
2. facewash good or bad for acne?
Some times acne is due to chemical . Any type of chemical which is not friendly with your skin is not good for you.And washing face is very good for acne, in washing all the dirt ,oil of face and blocking of opening of complex is washed, and this is very helpful in treating acne.
So Any facewash which suits your skin is very good for you, there are some medicated facewash is also available for treating acne. Just consult your doctor.

3. Treatment of acne?
You can get treatment of acne in every stream of medicine.There are medicine for eat, for locally applicable creams, facewash, meditation, etc. Just consult your doctor.
Here in this platform we cant provide a treatment because one treatment that is good for Mr. A , may be is not for Mr B, so my advice is, just consult your doctor personally.

4. Over the counter medicines .
In india, most people use variety of cream for acne. But they don’t know, what they are using, and doing with their face.Most of the time they get a steroid cream from the counter, and use it.
But its very bad for skin, and they get side effects of steroids cream on their face.these cream act like magic as they apply it on face, acne is subsided, but infection is still there. When the stop these cream, acne comes out and get resistance , and now the take more time to heal.
So never use any cream or medicine without consulting your doctor.
My advice for them, one who is using bet.....te , ca...tor nf , and any other brand of steroids cream for acne, just stop it immediately and get best treatment.
